The new head office for VICE Media Benelux, one of the fastest growing young media brands in the world, was designed by Amsterdam’s Ninetynine in a former bank building on the Reguliersdwarsstraat.

The offices will accommodate more than 50 employees in the four-storey building. The basement and ground floor have been developed as general spaces including the reception, boardroom, chill-out, play-room and a studio which can be closed off from the rest of the space with a glass garage door.

“These areas have been opened up completely to create optimal transparency.” says Ninetynine.

The other levels have also been kept as open as possible with the exception of two central blocks: one block that includes the stairwell and lift, and one that accommodates the sanitary facilities.

The open areas have been set up as work spaces with large multiform tables that are shared by employees. The meeting rooms have been separated from the general areas by means of glass walls. The third floor features eight editing suites.
