ORTO is a decorative concrete with moss and provides an alternative solution for common planting. The plants can be set into the furrows of the elements thus forming a breathing green surface along the ornamentation.

Lithos Design is specialised in wall panels and decorative elements made from marble and stone. Together with the industrial designer Raffaello Galiotto, who has already realised various objects and surfaces for Lithos Design, the North Italian company developed ‘Quadro curve luce’ a system of wall panels which is composed of two different tiles – a flat connecting part and a curved one which contains a hidden light source.
The Czech manufacturer and studio AMOS design, founded in 1990 by the architect Vladimír Ambroz is specialised in high quality interior design and contract furniture. As authorized manufacturer of DuPont™CORIAN® they recently launched this new range of wall panels for interior use. The panels are shaped on CNC machines in a way that they create an unbroken, linked motif on the wall.
‘Typology’ is one of many intriguing wallpaper designs from Wall & Deco’s 2010 ‘Life’ Collection.
The pattern seems to be three-dimensional, an optical illusion that gives the impression that the wall consists of type blocks.
However, it’s just vinyl wallpaper with a great graphic design.
The New York based textile manufacturer Maharam is a fourth generation family-run business which produces high-quality fabrics for wall coverings, windows and upholstery. The collection includes beautiful graphical designs, such as those of the American artist Sarah Morris and playful and vivid prints by Paul Smith.
Beside her activity as a classic graphic designer the Zurich based Trix Barmettler also realises graphics and illustrations within architectural context under her label Raumgrafik. Her complex interventions in the form of unique wall decorations or textile designs reflect the increasing demand of individual living. This beautiful and highly symbolic figure ‘Piece of Mind’ is her most recent project.
Astrid Krogh, educated textile designer, creates the most sophisticated light installations using sources such as neon lights, LEDs or optic fibres. Her newest piece is this delicate ‘light tapestry’ which is currently exhibited within Astrid’s solo exhibition at Galleri NB in Viborg, Denmark. ‘Morild’ consists of a perforated wooden wall with illuminated spots – the endings of fiberoptic threads which are arranged in fragments of an ornament. The light source can be programmed to switch coulor and intensity in fast or slow intervals.
The exhibition LYS(T)VEJ will be open until 18 september 2010.
