Chair by Jaime Hayón for &tradition

The renowned Spanish designer and artist Jaime Hayón has collaborated with the Danish furniture brand &tradition on a new chair design whose prototype was presented at Spazio Hayón in Milan’s Ventura Lambrate. Inspired by ‘the harmony of curves’, the chair’s curvilinear, injection-moulded shell is available in variety of colours and materials: ‘from a basic naked shell to quality Kvadrat wool upholstery and a luxurious leather alternative.’ (more…)

'Saga' is based on Bruno Mathsson's 1982 design

The Swedish, family-owned manufacturer Support Design has released this series of compact, highly ergonomic office chairs and stools based on Bruno Mathsson‘s pioneering design developed for the company in 1982. Characterised by the bowl-shaped, forward-slanting seat, ‘Saga’ chair supports the contour of the body and promotes good posture by taking the pressure and weight off the user’s back and neck while its streamlined, minimalistic form allows for maximum freedom of movement. The 'Parker'-shell by Kressel + Schelle for Casala

At this year’s Orgatec from 26 – 30 October the Dutch manufacturer Casala will present this new family of office and multi-purpose chairs designed by the Hamburg based studio Kressel + Schelle. ‘Parker’ is composed of an upholstered shell which can be combined with thirty different frames – from star-base to cantilever, and from a low lounge chair to a high bar stool. Since ‘Parker’ is also available with a high backrest the chair is available in a total of 58 possible models.

The Netbook is the trendy laptop in small format for the contemporary communication – private and on the way. For this purpose the German designer Martin Ballendat created N@t: a Netbook-lounge armchair.
