“Key to style” is the women’s fashion floor within the main building of the Seibu Shibuya department store. It is connected by a walk-way with the “COMPOLUX” floor on the third floor of the annex building that we designed in 2013, and has a more casual feel by targeting the young customer. We wanted to create a dynamic setting while maintaining the connection with the “COMPOLUX” area that was inspired by a cozy European park. Hence, we decided on the “mobile amusement park” that is held at parks as the design theme. (more…)

We designed new furnishings for the sixth-floor hall of the Tod’s store on Omotesando, in Tokyo. The open, airy space is surrounded by large windows, so we designed frame-like furnishings reminiscent of the buildings visible outside, jostling together in various shapes and sizes. (text by nendo)

Created for a solo exhibition at the Eye of Gyre gallery in Omotesando, Tokyo, Nendo’s Border Tables are a series of unusual tables that consist of a 5mm square metal rod with an equally diminutive tabletop (with a radius of only 100mm) attached to it.

Glider sofa by Ron Arad, the version displayed at iSaloni will be upholstered with Blur, a shaded fabric produced exclusively for Moroso by FEBRIK, with a red-purple gradation.
Among the many new products Moroso will be presenting at Milan Salone del Mobile this year will be Glider, a sofa designed by Ron Arad, this year in its final version with even softer and more rounded lines, which give its shapes extreme comfort.
