‘Pelleossa’ chair by Francesco Faccin for Miniforms; photo by Andrea Basile

Milanese industrial designer Francesco Faccin has recently realised this light, leather-and-wood chair for the Italian furniture brand Miniforms. Called ‘Pelleossa’ – Italian for ‘skin and bones’, the chair has been designed to resemble polished bones: ‘I really like bones because they are the result of a natural reduction process … and then they are a metaphor for the essential of a structure, are fairly minimal’ comments the designer. 'Streamers' side tables by Yiannis Ghikas for Miniforms

Yiannis Ghikas, the Athens-born computer scientist and award-winning designer has created this series of joyfully-coloured, arched side tables for the Italian manufacturer Miniforms. Called ‘Streamers’, the designs are made of painted metal and come in two different sizes and a variety of vivid colours such as white, red, green and yellow. (more…)
