Stuttgart-based design duo jehs+laub have designed a highly rational, modular chair for German contract-furniture brand Brunner, whose name – the ‘A-chair’ – is derived from its graphic, A-shaped silhouette.

Stuttgart-based design duo jehs+laub have designed a highly rational, modular chair for German contract-furniture brand Brunner, whose name – the ‘A-chair’ – is derived from its graphic, A-shaped silhouette.
An updated, modern reinterpretation of the archetypal, simple stool, ‘Hoc’ is the latest design created by the Stuttgart-based design duo Jehs + Laub. Originally developed for the US manufacturer Davis Furniture, ‘Hoc’ has recently been released in Europe by Brunner. Made of plywood and composed of three identical parts, the streamlined design is available in two heights. (more…)

‘Shrimp’ is the new armchair the Stuttgart based designers Jehs+Laub created for the German manufacturer Cor. The comparatively small appearing upholstery is characterised by its shell made from 2D-plywood which could be bent into the fitting shape, due to the regular gaps.
