Three ski pole shaped legs, upturned and leaning against each other for balance, form the minimalist ‘Ski’ coat rack by Nendo for Swedese.
Says Nendo, “We wanted to make a coat rack from the most basic elements possible, so we extended three legs from a single wooden surface and attached them at the base to create a structure like a very tall stool. When we carved the edges of the seat to make it possible to hang coats, the legs turned into ski poles, turned upside-down and leaned together for balance.” Made in beech wood and steel, available in white- or black lacquered finish.
Oki Sato, head of Japanese design studio Nendo, was the 2013 Stockholm Furniture Fair guest of honour where Ski was presented.
