The Madrid based designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocón cretaed this smart construction of an occasional table (Ø 900, h 740 mm) composed of three identical legs, a connecting central knot, and a glass table top. ‘Prima’ table is mountable by only one single screw.

Here is the detailed description:

“The table legs are expelled outwards remaining constrained and fixed by the central ring when screwing together two equal truncated cones. This creates a central knot that reveals the mechanism and creates a strong visual impact. This intelligent solution lets us mount and dismount the table with a single gesture and a single screw. At the same time the rounded legs allow the mechanisation of a round groove where a standard rubber ring fits naturally, softening the transition between iron and glass. This provides an ideal support and avoids using a drop of silicone.”
