The Danish architectural practice 3XN recently got the commission to design the new headquarter of Swedbank at Sundbyberg Stad near Stockholm. The building is expected to be finished by the end of 2013.
“With its innovative and transparent expression formed in an unconventional triple-v structure the building will become a landmark among Swedish office buildings. The large volume is broken up to create spaces on a human scale. This makes the building inviting on the inside as well as on the outside.”
“The new head office is situated at Sundbyberg; a rapidly developing and dynamic traffic centre five kilometers outside the centre of Stockholm. 3XN is currently working on a number of other projects in and around Stockholm:
– At the moment there is a really good energy in the Swedish building industry. We can also feel a great interest for Danish architecture as we are building a high rise residential building in Vällingby and we have other exciting projects on the way, says Kim Herforth Nielsen of 3XN.”
