Lampii is a table lamp which produces an indirect light, naturally orange colored. The body is a massive bloc of Volvic lava with a hand-brushed copper lampshade on top.
Studio Fabien Barrero+Carsenat has launched a new collection for 2015 that consists of three lamps and a centrepiece that use and display “the identity and roughness from materials such as wood, marble and ceramic”.
Mont is a table lamp inspired by mountains and their mysterious aesthetics. Placed in a bedroom or a living room cabinet, Mont appears as a “smooth and sculptural cloud in the interior atmosphere”.
Says the studio, “Studio fabien barrero+carsenat is based in Castels, a little town of the south-west France. In the middle of the countryside, the Périgord Noir is an area surrounded by forest and historical sites. We work using the identity and roughness from materials such as wood, marble and ceramic.”
Phare Hat is a lamp offering a delicate light, destined mostly for bedside tables. Made of earthenware, the lampshade has a deep and glossy colored glazing while the base is dressed with thin clay powder.
“The natural character and the imperfection originally into materials generate a daily poetry and philosophy to our senses. The manufacturing requires traditional and contemporary processes.”
Seasons is a table centerpiece made out of cast-iron and placed on a walnut wood ring. The pattern comes from a board which survived more than fifty years of rain and wind. Iron-cast and walnut are patinated with pure hot bee wax.
