Following the ‘Bolle’ coffee table he designed for Living Divani in 2009, the Singapore-based designer Nathan Yong continues his collaboration with the Italian manufacturer who will present Yong’s latest product, an occasional stackable table, during next month’s edition of Milan’s Salone del Mobile. Aptly named ‘Stack’, the design is composed of set of three, differently-coloured natural wood tables which ‘ can be moved around and stacked according to one’s favourite configuration.’
More about ‘Stack’:
‘Texture is a strong element in Yong’s occasional tables, Stack. A set of three trestle structures in natural wood with coloured trays of different depths that can be moved around and stacked according to one’s favourite configuration. As with the designer’s other creations, these two objects display a touch of poetry: their contemplative voids, the illusion of nature, the technology, tradition, craftsmanship and solid simplicity all communicate a sense of humility and nostalgia.’
