During this year’s Salone del Mobile the Italian manufacturer Cassina will present its first outdoor collection including the ‘Tokyo’ chaise-longue by Charlotte Perriand from 1940. It is the first time this extraordinary piece, conceived during Perriands stay in Japan, is in serial production. Cassina offers the design in several types of wood: bamboo, teak and beech. The outdoor collection also includes some of the most important designs by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanerette.
