Architect and designer Matias Ruiz had one objective for the ‘M100’ chair, to use as few elements as possible.
Using just steel and rope, steel to give body to the primary structure, and rope for support, he has created a simple yet ergonomic chair. Says Ruiz, “each element has its specific function, creating a welcoming and attractive combination.”
The M100 consists of 90 meters of twisted polypropylene rope and 10 meters of ribbed steel bar. The M100L uses tubular chromed steel. M100 is being shown at Salone Satellite during Milan Design Week 2013.
