A Stockholm-based designer Lina Nordqvist has recently realised this series of geometric, scaffolding-inspired bookshelves for the Swedish furniture manufacturer Karl Andersson & Söner. Available in two heights and three widths as well as variety of finishes, the asymmetrically gridded ‘Level’ ‘is adapted to the different sizes of paperbacks, hardback books and magazines that can be placed between the rods.’
More about the design:
‘This bookshelf consists of a number of irregularly spaced rods that support several shelves at different heights. Lina has drawn her inspiration from builders’ scaffolding and the distinctive appearance of apartment block architecture. The bookshelf comes in two heights and three widths. It is finished in a choice of eight standard colours and four stains (black, brown, white and red-brown). The legs are fitted with adjustable feet. Use Level as a room divider or place it against a wall in the living room at home, the office or the library, etc.’
