
'Kente' by Philippe Bestenheider
Philippe Bestenheider has made a rapid rise to fame after opening his own studio in Milan and Crans Montana only as recently as 2007. His colourful patterns and patchwork upholsteries which he presented in Milan this year, let him finally arrived among the acknowledged masters of their trade. Beside the armchairs for Moroso’s M’Afrique initiative, the Swiss designer created ‘Kente’, an outdoor collection for the Italian manufacturer Varaschin.

'Kente' coffee table
The shell and base of the very light and weather resistant chair and coffe table are made of brown-black or multicolour tape, handwoven around a varnished aluminium tube. The chair’s frame is made of stainless steel.
