Stockholm-based designers Frida Erson and Martin Eckerberg of studio Formellt have created an armchair with connections to Sweden’s vast design legacy.
Part of Formellt’s Project Legacy, the designers explain that the origins “began in the amazing collections of the Nordic museum, a huge warehouse full of everyday objects and furniture. Sprawling families of windsor chairs, stools cut out from big logs, furniture that combines seating and storage etcetera.”
As for the Easy Chair, it’s “The storytelling grandparent to gather around. Colorful with open arms at any time. Contemplation by yourself or hanging out with a bunch of old friends.”
