To present the rich and varied creative potential of textile use in interiors Architonic will be launching a new portal for premium textiles, called Designtextiles, at imm Cologne 2015 later this month.
Designtextiles is a new product from Zurich- New York- and Berlin based company Architonic AG, a new omnichannel portal that shows a rich and varied creative potential of textile use in interiors. The website and the app, as well as a targeted social media campaign, is launching at a time that awareness and demand for high-quality textiles in digital media and communities is increasing rapidly.
In the German-speaking region, seven leading brands were connected to the platform as “Initial Partners”: Chivasso, Christian Fischbacher Création Baumann, Jab Anstoetz, Nya Nordiska, Sahco and Zimmer + Rohde. The project will start first in the DACH region and will expand in the second phase internationally.
Eighty percent of purchases start with an internet search. Designtextiles facilitates that clients and designers encounter already in the preliminary stages of research a high quality of standardized- and readily available information. This supports interest on the side of private clients and planners can include textiles at an early stage in their spatial concepts.
Textiles have an, often underestimated, long and meaningful tradition in the design of spaces. Today they play an important role in all fields of architecture and design: for accessories, furniture, area zoning, accoustics and sun protection, as well as for facades, roofs or as constructive armor. But very few experts are aware of these tremendous possibilities. Often there is a lack of funded expertise. Here, Designtextiles acts as a central knowledge- and inspiration database.
