With the opening of Cersaie 2014 in Bologna on 22 September, the city will once more become – for a period of five days – the world’s main focal point for ceramic tiling, as well as for bathroom design and furnishing. Visitors are guided to the fair by the striking ‘trade fair towers’ designed by Kenzo Tange, which have been part of Bologna’s skyline since 1967.
For many years now, architects and designers have been giving Cersaie its individual flair, and not simply with creative stand designs. The exhibition is enriched by a wide range of special events that convey the atmosphere surrounding the fair’s high-quality products to almost every corner of the city. One very special location is the historic architectural complex of Ex Ospedale dei Bastardini, where the 2014 Bologna Water Design showcase event will offer not only an Architonic Totem, but also numerous surprises and exhibits on the theme of water.
Our feature article on ceramics in interiors – along with the Architonic Guide, which has been produced for Cersaie for the very first time – will help you to find your way around the Cersaie exhibition and discover the most interesting new developments within the industry. We look forward to welcoming you at our stand in Centro Servizi, No. 9, in front of Halls 25/26.
