Architonic’s indispensable show guides always feature a selection of the best manufacturers along with detailed hall plans and stand numbers. In architectural terms, given the time it takes to complete a large-scale project, ten years isn’t that long. All the more remarkable therefore that Austrian manufacturer Rieder’s innovative wonder material fibreC – fabricated from concrete and glass fibre – has been specified widely, introducing a new language in exteriors and interiors. Martí Guixé, a designer with a conceptual and unconventional take on design, has breathed new life into the classic Kerman rug, recreating the mythical pictorial motifs of birds, flowers, horses and deer often found on these Persian rugs – though in his version appearing and disappearing like ghosts.
