The Swiss Federal Office of Culture will be presenting 20 contemporary design awards at this year’s Swiss Design Awards in the fields of photography (3), graphic design (9), fashion and textile design (4) and products and objects (4).
The ceremony, as well as an exhibition of the winning works, will take place in Basel, Switzerland parallel to Art Basel and Design Miami/Basel exhibitions. Together with the already announced winners of the Swiss Grand Prix of Design 2014, Alfredo Häberli, Wolfgang Weingart und Erich Biehle, all award recipients will be honored on the evening of June 17.
Four awards were given in the category products and objects to; Brunner X Mettler, Carlo Clopath, BIG-GAME and Yann Mathis.
The Swiss Design Award is the most important national competition for the promotion of Swiss design, organized by the Federal Office of Culture since 1918.
