Xavier Lust’s ‘Hold on’ is a modular desk and shelving system for tight spaces that uses a wall for support.
The Belgian designer and master of convex surfaces Xavier Lust realised this desk for the Italian glass manufacturer FIAM Italia. ‘Graph’ – reminding a bit of a 1950s streamline-design – is made from 19 mm thick glass and composed of a top which is fixed to the elegantly curved base by polished stainless steel ties. The piece will be presented at this year’s Salone del Mobile at the FIAM Italia booth L11-M16 in Hall 5.
Sheet metal is his material. With his sophisticated objects made of smartly folded sheet metal the Belgian designer Xavier Lust made his mark in the international design scene. For the Italian manufacturer Tacchini he designed this occasional table which meets, due to its simple but tricky three-leg base, the needs of large-scale production and distribution. ‘V-table’ is suitable for in and outdorr use.
