First Prize – ‘The Optical Window’ by Smart Metropolitans, Poland
The wait is over! VIBIA, in cooperation with Architonic, are excited to announce the three winners of the CREA AWARDS 2012 edition. Creative minds from 40 different countries have participated in this contest, providing ideas for lighting applied to architecture and interior design.The main goal: to create inspiring and convincing photo collages of spaces illuminated using Vibia’s new modular lighting collections.The winners were selected on the basis of the conceptual interaction of the light setting with space, their creativity and the architectural and visual quality of the projects. The decision wasn’t easy for jury members Sevil Peach, Ulrike Brandi, Lars Krückeberg, Martin Gran, Francesc Rifé and Tobias Lutz. ‘Rhythm’ pendant light by Arik Levy for Vibia
The French-Israeli multidisciplinary creative Arik Levy has collaborated with the Spanish lighting specialists Vibia on this modular, minimalist pendant light design called ‘Rhythm’. Composed of 10 modules of horizontal, short stickers, the lamp can be adjusted and configured into virtually infinite number of patterns and it is available in two different colours and finishes: off white lacquer or matt dark brown. Ameba by Vibia 2009
Ameba is a new pendant concept by Spanish manufacturer Vibia and adaptable and adjustable to every space thus allowing selecting and creating compositions according to every need and preference. Designed by Pete Sans this light fitting is made of 5 different basic shapes that fit perfectly and can be combined among themselves to offer an unlimited range of compositions. Ameba is tempting for interior designing professionals in that it stimulates the creation of unique projects.

Ameba is a technically sophisticated fixture in which the smallest details have been considered. It meets the highest demands in quality of materials, finishes and assembly. It is hung with aircraft cables adjustable in height. The power cord can be connected to any of the sections depending on the position of the j.box in the ceiling.

'Break' by Vibia
The Spanish manufacturer Vibia recently presented ‘Break’ a reduced and very architectural appearing outdoor lamp.
The designers, Xuclà & Alemany created large vertical, sculptural block that supports the lamp and the head that appears to separate, leaving open a small slit through which the beam of light emerges.

The massive concrete lamp comes in different sizes and finishes that allow it to fit into different environments: from the most industrial and urban concrete finish and the rustic rusted finish to modern lacquered finishes in white or silver. The available sizes are the 12-cm wall lamp, the 43-cm version is designed for smaller spaces and the the tallest with 81 cm height. The light passes through a methacrylate diffuser capable of enduring tough outdoor conditions.
