Designjunction is the exhibition of several British labels at Zegna headquarters on Via Savona during this year’s Salone del Mobile. Modus will be on show with a whole range of new products by namable designers such as Michael Sodeau, PearsonLloyd and Claesson Koivisto Rune.
At this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan an esteemed group of UK designers and manufacturers will exhibit their latest works – for the first time within the ‘designjunction’ exhibition at the Zegna headquarters in Via Savona 56a – all brought together under the watchful eye of British designer Michael Sodeau.
During this year’s Milan Design Week the British label Tom Dixon will exhibit its most recent novelties in the beautiful 400sqm-location of Officine Stendhal (Via Stendhal 35). Amongst them ‘Cast’ – a multi-purpose chair composed of cast iron legs that are bolted to the seat and backrest which are made from slabs of thick foam. The chair can easily be disassembled and shipped in a small package because all components fit perfectly into the seat itself.
Glass vases by Michael Young for the Chinese manufacturer Tittot
The British born and Hong Kong based designer Michael Young realised these honeycomb glass vases for the Chinese manufacturer Tittot. The pieces will be on show at the Cat Street Gallery within an exhibition dedicated to Michael Young’s 20-year industrial design career from June 29th, 2011.
