The young Israeli designer Omri Barzeev realised this sophisticated table lamp which is composed of a simple metal base and a flexible, polygonic and LED-studded structure.
Ionna Vautrin created this new table lamp for the Italian lighting manufacturer Forscarini. For ‘Binic’ which is composed of an aluminium base and a polycarbonate projector the Breton born designer was inspired by “wind socks” that are used as ventilation systems on sailing ships.
The New York based designers of Rich Brilliant Willing recently presented this new series of lamps. Due to their sturdy but elegant design the cast durable glass pendants can be used as a hanging pendant lamp, or laid on their sides as a table lamp.
‘Bucky’ is a lamp designed by Studio Lagranja for Pallucco, which was launched at the Salone del Mobile 2010 in Milan.
Bucky is inspired by the shape of a kite. Colourful reflections occur if the three rods, realised in 700-mm milk-white blown glass, are equipped with orange or purple glass filters.
The Hamburg based manufacturer Viocero recently introduced this new luminaire series. ‘Antago’ is composed of a base made of multiple processed and refined aluminum and a self-supporting, double-walled structure of metalloid woven fabric. The table lamp is realized in three different basic designs as Antago SI, SQ & CG and upon request as Antago ID – a customizable version that offers the opportunity to individualize the main components such as lamp base, lamp shade, dimmer unit and power cord in color & material.

Among other promising young designers Reinhard Dienes presented his newest creations at this year’s imm cologne.
The simple and convertible furniture ‘Tonic’ can be used in two different positions: horizontal as a sideboard, or vertical as a bookcase. Therefor the legs can easily be taken out of the sockets and replaced in the desired position.

As well as ‘Tonic’ the lamp ‘Friday’ is convertible. It can be used as pendant or table lamp. ‘Friday’ is made from tinted glass and pressed aluminum.

'Spun' table lamp by Atelier Takagi
The Washington based Atelier Takagi will present some new works at this year’s imm cologne within the [d3] design talents in Hall 3.1. It will be the debut of their line of modular wooden furniture ‘Simple Machine(s)’ and the ‘Spun’ table lamp. All pieces are designed by Jonah Takagi.
