Earlier this year, a Munich-based architectural practice led by Gunter Henn, Henn Architekten, have realised this fluid, curvilinear pavilion for Porsche. Located near the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg’s Autostadt, the pavilion has been designed to formally echo the dynamic silhouette of the iconic automobile while the structure’s façade has been prefabricated from no less than 620 sheets of stainless steel. 'Punch light' by Reinhard Dienes
The young German designer Reinhard Dienes has recently unveiled this series of curiously-detailed stainless steel lamps called ‘Punch’. The design, which can be used either as a pendant or a table light, is characterised by the unusual punched-through diffuser suspended from an angular, powder-coated steel structure. (more…)

When designers and leading industrial enterprises put their heads together, it usually gets exciting. While such a collaboration allows industry the possibility of demonstrating its special capabilities in a completely new context, its manufacturing processes, conversely, provide an unexpected treasure trove of new design solutions for creative minds. This is what happened in the collaboration between SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Guss Gruppe and the Berlin-based design studio Formfjord.

'Axis' new version by Acerbis
The Italian design duo Gabriele and Oscar Buratti developed this stainless steel dining room table for Acerbis. In order to support the thin top in an aerial and visibly light way, the flat legs are placed onto different perpendicular axes. At this year’s Milan fair Acerbis presented a new version with back-lacquered glass top.

'Glassic' by Robots
The Italian manufacturer Robots presented at this year´s Salone del Mobile a very minimal and elegant clothes stand in stainless steel and glass.
The plate and steel tube are painted in bronze and aluminium. The sides and top are in transparent or smoked glass and are screwed to the structure. It is available in two widths : 56 and 130 cm and the finishings are interchangeable.
