In 197os Shiro Kuramata, one of the most important Japanese designers of the last century, started to experiment with glass and created some extraordinary icons such as the ‘Glass Chair’. The Italian manufacturer Glas Italia recently re-edited these two minimalist pieces designed in 1976.
Glass Table by Shiro Kuramata
The Glass Table is composed of a glas table top combined with feet in thermo-welded 19mm thick transparent glass.
