The Jane, Restaurant lighting by .PSLAB

Housed in a red brick structure that used to be a chapel for a military hospital in the Groen Kwartier in Antwerp, ‘The Jane’ is the brainchild of Michelin Star Chef Sergio Herman and Nick Bril conceived with the collaboration of Piet Boon architects. With Piet Boon’s intent on investing in the artisanal feel of the existing historic chapel, propelling it forward with a contemporary underground atmosphere, .PSLAB was a natural choice as a collaborator. After a very fast construction period of only two months a spectacular new pavilion shines in the heart of Rotterdam. Mei architects and planners designed this new McDonald’s pavilion on Coolsingel Rotterdam. The former kiosk was once voted the ugliest building in Rotterdam and no longer reflected the wishes and ambitions of either McDonald’s and the city of Rotterdam. DITTEL | Architects have created Stuttgart’s first Pano Brot & Kaffee coffee shop in the new Gerber Shopping Mall in Stuttgart’s Gerber Quarter. An extraordinary ceiling element, which unfolds from the entrance through to the rear section, leads into the 225m² room. The use of high-quality materials, such as solid oak, hand-stitched real leather and Italian clay flagstones, represents corporate values such as tradition, honesty and quality.

Usine Restaurant by Richard Lindvall

A 2000 square meter former sausage factory in Stockholm has undergone an extensive renovation to give place to the new Usine concept. The new space includes Bistro 38, Poche 36, café, take-away, reception and conference spaces. Before the one year long renovations, the premises were used by the Swedish Tax Agency and consisted of a maze of tiny meeting rooms with a ceiling height of 240 cm. (text by Richard Lindvall)
