'28.7' by Omer Arbel for Bocci
In collaboration with the Vancouver based designer Omer Arbel, the Canadian manufacturer Bocci realised this new series of suspension lights.
“28 is a result of a glass blowing technique developed by Omer Arbel whereby air is intermittently blown in and then sucked out of an intermittently heated and then cooled glass matrix.”

'28.7' by Omer Arbel for Bocci
“The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of inner shapes, one of which houses a low voltage (12V, 20W halogen/xenon) or LED (12V, 0.3W) lamp.”
Due to this process every ‘28′ is slightly different and therefore unique.

'28.7' by Omer Arbel for Bocci
‘28′ comes in different sizes – from ‘28.1′, with only one sphere, up to ‘28.19′.

'Wood' table lamp by Fredrik Mattson
The collaboration between the Swedish manufacturer Zero and the Stockholm based designer Fredrik Mattson has been going on for several years now. At this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair the successful team presented ‘Wood’ (this product name seems to be popular this year), a new series of interior lighting. The base of each model is a cylindric veneered body which is connected to an accordant reflector – made from matt opal glass for the pendant lights and painted aluminum or copper for the table lamp.

'Rhombus' by Illuminartis
The Swiss manufacturer Illuminartis recently presented this new LED hanging lamp. ’Rhombus’ is manufactured in limited numbers in the same factory out of a single piece of aluminium.

'Rhombus' by Illuminartis
The hanging lamp is equipped with a 48-piece LED with a colour temperature of 2,700 K. A unique distribution of light is achieved with the help of an intricately designed diffuser, so that 70% of the light is directed towards the tabletop and 15% of the light is directed sideways and towards the ceiling, respectively. This results in glare-free and therefore comfortable area lighting. In addition, the lamp comes with an interface that makes it possible to connect additional modules in the future (a remote control, for example).

'Dunes' by Outofstock
The international design collective Outofstock, Gabriel Tan and Wendy Chua from Singapore, Gustavo Maggio from Argentina and Sebastián Alberdi from Spain, originally met in Stockholm during the Electrolux Design Lab in 2005. After a renunion in 2006 they decided to work together. Today Outofstock is based in Singapore, Barcelona and Buenes Aires.

'Dunes' by Outofstock
“Dunes is a set of modular, stackable screens inspired by the undulating sand dunes of the desert. We used thick elastic chords to weave surfaces within an inverse-triangulated steel frame. The result is a screen with rich colour gradients that act as a low-opacity colour filter, defining a semi-private space. They can be combined to form a continuous linear partition or used separately as spatial markers.”

'Saturn' by Outofstock
“Saturn is a pendant lamp made of welded pentagonal shapes in aluminum alloy. Its clean geometric form contrasts with an undulating vortex of elastic threads under the lamp shade – a clash of order and disorder. The stitch-detail along the edges of the lamp lends a touch of hand-craftedness to the final product.”

'Hope' by Luceplan
The Milan based designers Francisco Gomez Paz and Paolo Rizzatto designed this light and delicate chandelier for the Italian lighting manufacturer Luceplan. It is composed of moulded polycarbonate leafs, characterised by a glossy external surface and a textured internal surface treated with a series of concentric micro-prisms. Each leaf is mounted on a thin stem – these stems are finally fixed to a light metal structure, which exists in different sizes.
