‘Soba’ chair by Dunja Weber for PCM

Swiss-born Milan-based designer Dunja Weber has created this stackable armchair for the recently-founded Spanish label PCM. The first chair to be released by PCM, ‘Soba’ is a reinterpretation of the classic string chair. The design is composed of a powder-coated steel frame and PVC string and it was launched earlier in April during Salone del Mobile fair. (more…)

The process of designing the series

The Slovakian-born Switzerland-based industrial designer Tomas Kral has collaborated with the recently-founded Spanish label PCM on a glassware collection, parts of which are based on original molds from the late 19th century. The beautifully crafted series comprises three vases and a set of drinking glasses and carafes, all of which have been decorated with various cut-patterns. More interestingly, the ‘Reused History’ collection was produced by the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja de San Ildefonso in Segovia, Spain, which is one of the last three remaining European glassworks that still blows the glass following the 18th century techniques.
