Ron Gilad’s new collection of furnishings, Grado°, underlines the designer’s interest in basic geometric shapes. The 60°/ console and 35°/ tavolino table seem like a line drawing of the contours of an open box.

'Net Box' by Patricia Urquiola for Molteni
With her new family of cabinets, designed for Italian manufacturer Molteni, Patricia Urquiola has demonstrated her ability to apply expanded metal mesh, usually thought of as an industrial material, to furniture design in a way that avoids a rough, ready-made aesthetic. One beautiful detail is the wardrobe’s metal-mesh doors, which are fitted with extra storage on the sides.

'When' by Molteni
Born in 1954 and graduated in architecture at the Politecnico of Milan in 1979, Rodolfo Dordoni is one member of the Milanese tradition that generated designers such as Castiglioni, Zanuso, Magistretti and de Lucchi.
At this year’s Milan fair the Italian manufacturer Molteni presented a number of new wooden furniture by Rodolfo Dordoni. The series ‘When’, occasional tables in solid wood with double round top, is available in various finishings: essence, glass and marble. Four versions which are different in height and top diameter, suitable for the bedroom as well as the living room.

Even though only available in dark or gray oak ‘Wish’ is a minimal, refined bed in wood which also refers to classic Scandinavian teak furniture.
