‘Quinque’ lamp by Micomoler
Micomoler’s ‘Quinque’, the Spanish word for oil lamp, is a contemporary object inspired by tradition and made with a focus on craft. It is based on the idea of old fashioned gas lamps and features a key that controls the light, hidden under a glass bell, recalling a small flame.

Textile designer Laure Kasiers’ ‘Tipi’ is a modular system of cushions with fasteners “to build small furniture and indoor huts” says the designer.

SaloneUfficio is the new name of Eimu, the biennial international workspace exhibition held at the same time as Salone del Mobile at the Fiera fairground during Milan Design Week. Held on odd-numbered years along with the Euroluce lighting exhibition, SaloneUfficio counts about 150 exhibitors occupying nearly 20,000 square metres of display space. Architonic was there to get a glimpse of the office of the future.

‘Osmosi’ vase by Emmanuel Babled
Emmanuel Babled’s vases and lighting objects are a virtual fusion of marble and handblown glass. Merged into sculptural objects, ‘Osmosi’ are limited edition Venini hand-blown glass, from Murano, and Testi Carrara marble vases and light objects that were shown at Plusdesign gallery during Milan Design Week 2013.
