'FIDU Bench' by Oskar Zieta

With his charming ‘Plopp’ stool the Polish architect presented the innovative technology of inflatable metal structures to the design scene.

“In future we want above all to design objects which are inflated but don’t look as if they have been inflated” Oskar Zieta said. With the very precise and smooth looking ‘FIDU Bench’ he came one step closer to this aim.

You can see Oskar Zieta´s work at this year´s DMY Festival in Berlin at the DMY Allstars exhibition.

'Lockwood' by the young American manufacturer Misewell

Misewell is a young Milwaukee-based furniture design and manufacturing company founded by brothers Vincent and Paul Georgeson. Their collection of chairs, tables, lamps and coat hooks are completely produced in the US and will be presented at this year´s ICFF in New York.

All pieces are a combination of solid wood and powder-coated metal, including some remarkable details such as the formed steel seatback of “Lockwood”.

‘Collar’ by Nendo for Quodes

At this year´s Salone del Mobile in Milan the Dutch manufacturer Quodes presented a modular cabinet system by the Japanese design studio Nendo. The containers, which have the restrained colour scheme that is typical of the designers, are made of MDF. The handle of the drawers is created by the folded aluminium front.
