Glocal Design Magazine's exhibition booth by Row Studio
Álvaro Hernández Felix, Nadia Hernández Felix and Alfonso Maldonado, the trio behind the Mexico City-based architectural and design practice Row Studio have created this citrus-coloured temporary display for the Glocal Design Magazine’s Habitat Expo 2011 exhibition booth. Reminiscent of the recently unveiled Sevillian Metropol Parasol by Jürgen Mayer H., Row Studio’s design also encompasses a concept of grid-like structure made from multiple flowing curvilinearly-cut MDF panels. 'Spacecross' by Jan Ulmer
Jan Ulmer designed this shelf system for the German company Schneiderschram. ‘Spacecross’ is assembled quickly. Simply interconnect the four equally sized shelves to create a SPACECROSS room module and combine numerous modules by just pushing them together. This allows you to design shelves of various shapes and sizes and, depending on the module layout, individual shelf configurations.

The shelf configurations can be individually modified and extended in each and every direction. And ‘Spacecross’ has the ability to adapt to bespoke room designs. It is made of MDF and available fully powder coated in white or anthracite or melamine resin coated in white.

'Bud Buddy' by Opinion Ciatti
Opinion Ciatti presented at this year´s Salone del Mobile ‘Bud Buddy’, a shelf system which stands out for its imperfection – a detail which is typical for the Italian manufacturer. A rectangular parallelepiped and a cube that come together with no respect for alignment. The two different containers (35x35xH36 and 35x35xH71 cm) are freely stackable and combinable.
