
'Cage' bookshelf by Massimo Castagna for Henge
Following his similarly-neat ‘Strip’ chair, the Italian architect and designer Massimo Castagna has created this linear, grid-like bookshelf suitably called ‘Cage-B.’ Manufactured by Henge, the handmade design was presented at this year’s Salone del Mobile fair in Milano and is available in a range of sizes and depths, made with heat treated and oil-finished Eucalyptus wood. 'Strip Chair' by Massimo Castagna for Henge
The Italian architect and Henge’s art director Massimo Castagna has created this elegant, leather-and-metal chair called ‘Strip’. The cantilever tubular steel design, reminiscent of Marcel Breuer’s 1930 classic, the B34, was presented earlier this year at Milan’s Salone del Mobile and comprises a veneered-steel frame, a padded cushion, and a woven, lasercut leather backrest. The base is made of thermo-shaped ceramic glass
At this year´s Milan fair the Italian manufacturer Acerbis presented ’Trigonos’, a table designed by Massimo Castagna. The glass table has a base which is composed of three glossy-white curved plates made of thermo-shaped ceramic glass. The peculiar bending of the plates determines an intriguing game of concave and convex surfaces and sinuous lines which get close one to the other as if they touched and then move away.
