'Prater' by Marco Dessì

The ‘Prater’ chair by the Austrian Designer Marco Dessí demonstrates how worthwhile a comparatively low-priced material like multiplex plates can be applied. With the soft round shape of the seat and the backrest, the dark glue between the veneer layers appears like a topographic line and creates a corresponding pattern.

The construction of the chair is easy to understand and therefore very attractive. All elements are either bent or cut out in an optimal shape so the number of joints is minimal.
