Two requirements mark the design of the Hotel Vincci Gala Barcelona; first, the Monument Protection Department of Barcelona obligation to conserve both the facade and a large white marble staircase inside the building, and second, the name of the Hotel, ‘Gala’, referring to the wife and muse of surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.

Simulating a constant downpour of rain, Swiss architects Burkard Meyer in collaboration with Konform AG have created an innovative installation for the showroom of bathroom furniture company Talsee consisting of hundreds of silver-coloured chains hanging from the ceiling.
