'Bob' by Hella Jongerius for Kettal

The Dutch designer Hella Jongerius recently completed this armchair for the Spanish manufacturer Kettal. As a reinterpretation of the typical wide garden club chair ‘Bob’ is composed of a two-parts aluminium frame which has a sturdy dark look from the front but an elegant, light construction at the back. The seating is formed of soft and voluminous ribs which are accented with visible stitching. Winded yarn is used for the detailing of the armrests. ‘Bob’ will be displayed at this year’s Hábitat Valencia from 28 September – 2 October 2010 at stand G177, 2nd level, pavilion 6.
