The Japanese manufacturer Karimoku was founded in the 1940s in Kariya, in the suburbs of Nagoya. It is known for its classic designs, which are completely produced in Japan. The new fabrics Karimoku presented at this year´s Salone del Mobile are designed by the famous Kimono designer Jotaro Saito and are a smart combination of technical modern textiles and traditional Kimono patterns.
