Madrid-based designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocón has realised this series of decorative table lamps whose composition ‘reflects the different physical properties necessary to make the electrical apparatus work.’ Composed of three simple parts in different materials: copper and brass which act as conductors and wood which has been used due to its insulative properties, the collection comprises three different models named after three cities: Madrid, Milan and Kyoto. The series was first presented earlier this year at Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan. (more…)

‘Lightworks – Disc’ table lamp by Jonas Wagell
Swedish architect and designer Jonas Wagell has realised this small circular table light as part of his self-initiated ‘Lightworks’ series. Composed of two, differently-sized cylinders, the pared-down ‘Disc’ emanates soft, dimmable light ideal for desks, tables or side boards. (more…)

‘Moire’ lamp by Marc Sarrazin for Petite Friture
Known for their playful, out-of-ordinary collections, the French design company Petite Friture has collaborated with young Parisian designer Marc Sarrazin on this series of mesh lamps called ‘Moire’. Available in three sizes and two colours, the light can be either hung as a pendant, used as a floor or table lamp, or fixed to a wall. ‘Moire’ was presented as part of Petite Friture’s new collection at Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan. ‘Cargo’ floor lamp by Hervé Langlais for designheure
Inspired by the characteristic form of funnel liners, ‘Cargo’ is the latest collection of lamps designed by the French architect and designer Hervé Langlais for lighting brand designheure. ‘Rhythm’ pendant light by Arik Levy for Vibia
The French-Israeli multidisciplinary creative Arik Levy has collaborated with the Spanish lighting specialists Vibia on this modular, minimalist pendant light design called ‘Rhythm’. Composed of 10 modules of horizontal, short stickers, the lamp can be adjusted and configured into virtually infinite number of patterns and it is available in two different colours and finishes: off white lacquer or matt dark brown. Wegner has recently been reissued by one of Denmark’s oldest producers of fine furniture, Carl Hansen & Søn. ‘Innerlight’ lamp by Simon Pengelly for Foscarini
The acclaimed British designer Simon Pengelly has created this minimalist, sculptural wall-mounted lamp for the Italian lighting specialists Foscarini. Composed of three, overlapping, translucent strips, the form of ‘Innerlight’ was inspired by the work of the American minimalist sculptor Richard Serra. Launched earlier this year during Salone del Mobile, the light is available in two colour versions: understated white or textured brown. (more…)
