Marset private residence

At Marset they believe that shadows are what furnish a space with color, atmosphere and warmth. There is no one right light, and the perfect lamp does not exist. In any space, there have to be darker areas so that one can better appreciate the areas with more light. A good lamp must have the ability to create moods and cast shadows around us. There is no relief without shadows.

At this private residence in Barcelona, Marset lit up the different areas with its Cala, Funiculí, Ginger, Polo, Scantling, Mercer and La Discrète lighting collections.

Known for her delicate light sculptures frequently exhibited in galleries across the globe, the Israeli designer Ayala Serfaty has created this series of beautifully sculptural, translucent lamps called ‘Mino.’ The lights feature a meticulously ruched silk drapery sculpted over a rectangular polycarbonate, vacuum-formed shell which is backlit with energy saving bulbs.
