Marco Maturo and Alessio Roscini, the Italian design duo behind Milan-based Studio Klass have collaborated with the curved glass furniture specialists Fiam on the design of this simple, geometrical side table. Called ‘Magique’, the cuboid, semi-transparent piece features multiple intersecting shelves and the design is made of 10 mm welded glass which is available in a variety of finishes such as transparent glass or smoked grey. The Parisian-based designer duo Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova have recently presented their latest collection of simple glass pendant lights called ‘Shadows’. Manufactured by the Czech lighting brand Brokis, the series is composed of four variously-shaped shades which are available in three colour versions: black-tinted semiopaque glass with a black ash neck; opaque, matte black glass with a black ash neck, and a matte white model with natural oak neck. Composed of a hand-blown glass body, steel strainer and a cork cap, this novel carafe has been created by a Zurich-based designer Anna Blattert for a young Swiss brand Postfossil. Part of their new ‘Home Made’ collection, ‘Stir it’ is made in Switzerland and the carafe is available in three summery hues; mint green, lemon yellow and candy floss pink. (more…)

The ultra-prolific Japanese design practise Nendo has collaborated with a Czech manufacturer of bespoke light fittings and glass installations Lasvit on this delicate, organically-shaped pendant light called ‘Inhale’. Owing its name to the innovatory production process, in which the form is obtained by a negative air pressure, the design was exhibited as part of Nendo’s delicate, all-white ‘Still & Sparkling’ installation during this year’s edition of Milan’s Salone del Mobile. A young German designer Sebastian Herkner revisited the traditional glass blowing technique with this side and coffee table design called ‘Bell’.
