'Crinolina' by Susanne Philippson for Pallucco

'Crinolina' by Susanne Philippson for Pallucco

The Berlin-based designer Susanne Philippson designed this interior lighting collection for Pallucco – it is the third series the Italian manufacturer and Philippson have launched together. The name of the collection ‘Crinolina’ evokes the shape of oldfashioned skirts. The defining feature of the lights is the diffuser with its arrangement of filled and empty sections.

The diffusers are in PVC painted gold on the inside, reflecting a warm light, and covered with cotton chintz on the outside, which comes in three different colours (anthracite grey, white and purple). The structure is in epoxy powder coated steel in the same colours as the diffusers.

In spite of a year of economic crisis the Salone in Milan has strengthened its position as the world’s leading fair for furniture and furnishings. Combining the furniture fair on the same site with the alternating bi-annual Euroluce and Bagno/Cucine – each a heavyweight in its own right – is something no other event of this kind can offer.

Also this year Architonic collected the best novelties of the Salone del Mobile and Euroluce for you.
