The Swedish architects TAF recently unveiled their new upholstery collection they designed for the Italian gallery Rossana Orlandi in Milan.

Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom, founders of TAF, asked themselves, what the easiest way to upholster a piece of furniture could be – Probably the way you wrap a parcel. Instead of using paper the architects wrapped the square foam pieces with high-quality fabric. The result is a serie of different sized soft modules – loaded on a trolley they even become an easy chair.

'Be Inspireled' by Berhin Studio

This year the young Swedish manufacturer Berhin Studios presented ‘Be Inspireled’, a rather humoristic easy chair designed by the Italian designer Manolo Bossi.

It is made out of modeled birch (a natural material) and a new kind of modeled felt that uses 50% recycled fiber from plastic bottles, fiber that can be recycled after the life span of the chair.

‘Be Inspireled’ was one the winner of the Green Furniture Award 2009.
