A site of an old winery has been transformed into a major cultural destination of the southern Spanish region of Huelva thanks to the Seville-based Donaire Arquitectos and their recently-finalised Theatro Municipal. Located in Almonte, the imposing, geometrical structure towers above its low-rise surroundings while the structure’s plain, unornamented façade allows the theatre to blend harmoniously with its environment. The 3,265-square-meters theatre has been completed in spring this year at a total cost of over €4 million. (more…)
