The ‘Wrong for HAY’ collaboration debuts at the 2013 London Design Festival with its inaugural collection
This year’s London Design Festival in September will see the debut of a new creative collaboration between London-based designer Sebastian Wrong and Danish design manufacturer HAY.
Called ‘Wrong for HAY’, the collection comprises lighting, furniture, ceramics, glassware and textiles, and, under the creative direction of Wrong (former design director at British design brand Established & Sons) it “draws upon [London's] creative energy, eclecticism and talent to explore new working relationships, new products and new markets”.

Following his large-scale porcelain ‘Casalgrande Ceramic Cloud’ installation, the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has recently realised this conversion of a typical, brick farmhouse into a light and airy exhibition space and an archive for the Italian ceramics manufacturer Casalgrande Padana. Completed in July 2011, the 470-square-meters building is located on company’s production site, in the countryside near the norther Italian city of Reggio Emilia. (more…)
'Pleat Box' pendant lamp by Xavier Mañosa and Mashallah Design for Marset
The Catalan ceramicist Xavier Mañosa has collaborated with Berlin-based design duo Hande Akçayli and Murat Koçyigit of Mashallah on this collection of handcrafted pendant lamps for the Spanish manufacturer Marset. Called ‘Pleat Box’, the series has been developed following an idea of translating a ‘digitally designed crease in a piece of cloth’ into a ceramic material. (more…)
