‘Leaf’ lamp by Broberg & Ridderstråle for Muuto

The Stockholm-based design duo Broberg & Ridderstråle have collaborated with the Danish furniture brand Muuto on this collection of neat and simple lamps called ‘Leaf’. ‘Tati’ coat rack by Broberg & Ridderstråle for Asplund

A new addition to the reduced yet playful, award-winning ‘Tati’ range, this simple steel, brass-and-marble coat rack has been put into production by the Swedish manufacturer Asplund earlier this year. Designed by the Stockholm-based design duo Broberg & Ridderstråle, the hanger has already been awarded the prestigious ‘Furniture of the Year’ title by the Swedish design magazine Sköna Hem and it is a part of a ‘Tati’ collection of furniture and home accessory pieces which include several side/coffee table designs and a floor and wall mirrors. The coat rack is available in two different sizes and variety of vibrant colours such as; anthracite, white, violet, olive, nougat, deep blue and orange. (more…)

Part of ’Klong Horizon’, a new collection of flat-packable furniture by a Swedish manufacturer Klong, this flexible shelving system with an incorporated desk tabletop was created by a Stockholm-based designer duo Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle. Based on a simple mounting structure reminiscent of a cogwheel, the composition of ‘Totem’ can be easily adjusted according to user’s individual needs and the system can be complemented by a small desk unit which was presented earlier this year at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. 'Plugged' by muuto

This year the Danish manufacturer muuto presented the pendant light ‘Plugged’ designed by the Swedish designers Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle. The lamp plays with the elements most lighting armatures try to hide. The cable becomes accented part of the design.

“It emphasizes how the lamp is “brought to life” thereby giving it character and difference. The space between the shade and the ceiling is highlighted by the pattern of the textile cord – and the placing of the plug on the side gives the lamp a dynamic appearance and brings life to an otherwise static typology.”
