‘Tina’ light installation by arturo alvarez in the historic chapel of Hostal dos Reis Católicos, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Lighting designer Arturo Alvarez has created a pop-up lighting installation using ‘Tina’, a pendant light he designed composed of polypropylene strips, in the historic chapel of Hostal dos Reis Católicos, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, a one of a kind architectural setting dating back to the 15th century.

'Coral' pendant light by Arturo Alvarez

Spanish designer Arturo Alvarez has created this series of delicate, organically-shaped suspension lights inspired by the beauty and structural complexity of aquatic life. The London-based design office of Héctor Serrano has recently realised this eye-catching pendant lamp for the Spanish lighting specialist arturo alvarez. ‘Inspired by the magic of a forest and the light [that] escapes through its majestic trees’, Woods appears to be suspended midair while the softly glowing light emanates through the multiple layers of birchwood bars.
