'Weave' boofshelf by Chicako Ibaraki, photo by Satoshi Asakawa
The young Japanese designer Chicako Ibaraki designed this minimalist bookshelf, made of rubber painted stainless steel. ‘Weave’ was awarded at this year’s 100%Design Tokyo.
Two flat bars running perpendicular at right angles create the bookshelf. The irregular braiding shape changes when viewed from different angles. The bookshelf make it possible to put 200 books. Rubber paint prevents slipping books.
