Crystals and molecular structures with geometric irregularities served as a source of inspiration for Daniel Becker’s ‘Sparks’, a modular lighting system consisting of three different modules that can be arranged in various configurations to form three-dimensional structures.
“Through numerous experiments with pipes and surfaces a space-describing, branched form came to life which was constantly refined in the course of the process.” says Becker. Each module can be freely rotated in 360°, which makes the system highly adaptable to almost every conceivable architectural situation. “Thus, the impression is each time completely different in its spatial context.”
Sparks will be shown at Salone del Mobile 2013 during Milan Design Week.
