‘Soba’ chair by Dunja Weber for PCM

Swiss-born Milan-based designer Dunja Weber has created this stackable armchair for the recently-founded Spanish label PCM. The first chair to be released by PCM, ‘Soba’ is a reinterpretation of the classic string chair. The design is composed of a powder-coated steel frame and PVC string and it was launched earlier in April during Salone del Mobile fair.

More about the design:

‘Designer Dunja Weber has created a three-dimensional stacking structure for indoor and outdoor use. The frame is made of powder-coated steel rod and the seat and backrest from taut PVC strings which makes the design light, resistant and very comfortable. With this project Dunja Weber wanted to reinterpret from a sober and schematic way the elements of the classic braiding terrace chairs.’
